Courses For Teens and Young adults who want to live meaningful, purposeful, successful lives
OPEN WORLD — The skills you need for the world ahead.
Growing up is a little like entering an open-world video game.
As you venture further into the world, you encounter new challenges, greater freedom, and increasingly complicated decisions. And succeeding requires skills you may not have needed before.
But unlike a video game, life doesn't always come with a tutorial.
Open World is an eight-week online course for young people ages 17–19 who want to develop the skills, confidence, and self-understanding to navigate adulthood.
It's designed for teenagers who are already asking important questions about themselves and their futures. Young people who recognize areas where they'd like to grow, who are curious about psychology and personal development, and who would welcome the opportunity to explore those interests alongside others who feel the same way.
You don't need to have everything figured out. You just need to be interested in learning.
What will we explore?
Open World focuses on three essential areas of personal development.
Your relationship with yourself
Understanding your emotions, developing confidence, navigating anxiety and discomfort, building motivation, and learning to respond constructively when life gets difficult.
Your relationships with others
Developing meaningful connections, communicating effectively, establishing boundaries, navigating conflict, and learning to advocate for yourself.
Your relationship with the world
Clarifying your values, making thoughtful decisions, setting goals, exploring your interests and purpose, and developing a greater sense of direction.
Throughout the course, students will create their own Personal Compass—a personalized guide to their values, strengths, goals, and the insights and skills they're developing.
Learn on your own. Grow together.
Open World combines engaging, prerecorded lessons with weekly live group coaching conversations facilitated by Zach Meyer, a licensed professional counselor with 25 years of experience working with teenagers and young adults.
Students can work through course materials on their own schedule, then come together to discuss what they're learning, ask questions, and connect with peers who share their curiosity about personal growth.
For young people who have spent time reading about psychology, exploring mental health resources, or trying to understand themselves on their own, Open World offers something different: an opportunity to learn alongside other thoughtful young people, with guidance from an experienced adult who genuinely enjoys working with them.
